Mumbai MHADA Lottery 2012 is conducted on Thursday, 31st May 2012 for sale of 2,593 flats in the city.
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) conducted the lottery at its office in Bandra. The application numbers of flat winners - selected by the computer - are being displayed in front of the office.
Mumbai MHADA will later update the MHADA Lottery Results 2012 on its website http://mhada.maharashtra.gov.in/
Of the 2,593 flats, 1,726 are in Mira Road while 867 are located in Sion, Borivli, Kurla and Charkop. Flat winners will have to pay 3.09% as VAT and 1% as service tax in addition to the cost of the house.
An important aspect of MHADA lottery 2012 being that the majority of flats is for those in the low-income group (LIG) and middle income group (MIG) category - only 172 for high income group (HIG).
Also, maximum applications are for MIG flats.
Importantly, just days before the lottery, MHADA had cancelled over 6,000 applications over discrepancies in the details provided in the application.
