A Shoestring Marketing Budget Can Provide A Good Foundation On Which To Build Your Business. Is it really possible to make a lot of money on the Internet while promoting your Internet site on a shoestring?

Whatever else you may do when setting up your business, it is imperative that you work out how much you can safely afford to invest in marketing your website.

Let's suppose that after you have set up your website and auto-responder you have just $30 left in the kitty to spend on marketing your website each month. Is it really possible to do anything with $30 a month? I think so. Here are some of the things you can do with a marketing budget of less than fifty dollars a month...

1. Take out a paid membership on three traffic exchange sites. Traffic exchanges provide excellent opportunities for you to market your website on a shoestring, especially if you take advantage of special offers for credit packages and pro membership upgrades, where you get several hundred page view, banner and text ad credits and also an improved credit earning ratio when you surf sites on the exchange.

As a paid up traffic exchange subscriber, you will be able to earn several thousand views of your webpages and banner ads every month. Most traffic exchanges offer "one time only" (OTO) deals when you join as a free member. They usually offor highly discounted credit packages, which can be great value, but only go for them if you really can afford it. Do not go over budget. Also, be aware that as often as not you can reject the first offer and be presented with a cheaper follow-up offer.

2. Take out a subscription with InfoGoRound.com. InfoGoRound is a private label rights article publisher. Members pay $24.95 a month, which I know is a lot to ask someone on $30 a month to pay, but it is easy to get your subscription refunded to your Paypal account, simply by writing an article for IGR's database. 3. Get into the habit of writing regular articles about your particular niche market. This can be an effective method of promoting your web site and pulling in targeted visitors. 4. Use a directory submission service to get your website registered on Internet directories. It is a tedious but useful job, and you can have someone do it for you even though you only have limited resources to play with. From what has gone before, it should be clear by now that there's a lot that can be done to promote a website on a micro budget. On a budget as constrained as this is you won't be able to do all that you want to in a single month. you'll have to decide what will work best for you every month.

I hope the suggestions I have made in this article will demonstrate that even the most modest of marketing budgets can provide a good foundation for building a successful business.
